Seeing is a wonderful gift, and seeing beauty in our everyday life is like experiencing it in person. It's sometimes necessary to pull over to the side of the road and gaze at how gently and gracefully the leaves fall from the trees; or how the urban dwellers are fighting a silent war to make ends meet. All these things become obvious when it comes to the epidemic, we are all fighting to survive.
People, their lives and their ways of survival become the main priority in this pandemic. People living in poor economic settings with limited education are suffering the worst. Children from these families are not able to grow up in a normal environment. Everyday these families are facing a consequence they never signed up for.
In my pictures I have tried to capture the natural/candid shots of all these urban dwellers of Bangladesh. I chose these 4 pictures because they tell 4 different stories of individuals from contrasting walks of life - Before Covid-19, executives travelling by train to work; A rickshaw puller taking a rest after a hard day’s work; A child in poverty eating his hard earned meal; And lastly, my self-portrait.
